Built in Sedona Arizona this Stupa was initiated by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, the spiritual director of the Kunzang Palyul Choling Tibetan Buddhist centers. It is graced with a bronze image of Amitabha, the Buddha of Limitless Light, and is filled with hundreds of millions of prayers for peace, sacred relics and ritual objects. It is a beacon of light and virtue and is considered a vortex of Enlightened Presence, radiating waves of compassion to all beings.

You don't have to be a Buddhist to visit it. People
from every tradition are welcome to meditate and pray for themselves,
loved ones and for the end of suffering in the world.

It is traditional to
make offerings at a stupa. According to the Buddha, any contribution to
build or maintain a stupa is considered extremely auspicious, ensuring
a lasting connection to one's future enlightenment.

DIRECTIONS: From Highway 89A, take Andante north to Pueblo, turn left.

  • @hellophoenix +++ I just discovered this place on my third visit to Sedona. I guess I wasn't ready or it wasn't time, even though I had seen pictures of it before (thought it was the Center for Enlightment on Schnebly Hill) and a guide on my 2nd visit mentioned the lady whose idea it was to build this stuppa. When I finially discovered this place, I was drawn to go there 3 times in 2 days. It is very very peaceful.

  • I wanted to build a small stupa for my new altar, but it's sooooo complicated! Maybe someday when I have more money I'll buy one.

  • This Stupa is an amazing place, I ended up going there every day of my stay in Sedona. One afternoon, as I was sitting there silent lost in my thoughts, a group noisily made their way up to the the Stupa. Even with my eyes closed I could see the boy stop, look, then exclaim "I don't get it." I laughed and cried...

  • We just visited here today. Thank you for building this Stupa. Being here brought my family and I so much peace and joy. Bright Blessings ❤

  • where is this Stupa? I'd love to visit it.

  • I am not a Buddhist but I just spent 4 days in a wonderful retreat with Tulku Lama Lobsang in Sedona.

I wish I knew about this Stupa, I would've definitely visited it.
