Devastating US unemployment numbers

While talks on the debt ceiling and deficit are underway in Washington DC, a new job report highlights that numbers are way worse than analysts expected. President Obama has plenty of excuses for the for the statistics, and Les Leopold, an economist and author of the book "The Looting of America," joins RT's Lauren Lyster from New York to offer his insight.

Check the news, The iraq war is over and the troops are coming back to fix the country, Obama estimates a legit 2 million jobs which should cover the entire 8% of unemployed. Things are looking better and better my friend, the iraq war being over begins a new era of peace and prosperity.

The unemployment rate isn't going anywhere but up and the government knows it.

Lets just wait until the temporary workers who got jobs for the holidays are laid off.

I'm not even sure holiday jobs are eligible for unemployment.

Unless we create 500k jobs a month soon we are screwed.
