@wrarmatei Well arent you the critic? Forgive me but maybe I should've used the word 'intense'. Sorry master.

Well, as long as you know that this song isn't really all that angry of a song...in fact, a huge number of their songs are not angry at all. Why someone likes something is their call, but if authentic anger why you like Pig Destroyer, you're kind of missing the point.

Respond to this video... These guys are on a completely different level fusing power violence with death metal without implementing the 'crust' sound. Pure fury. I know that alot of metal is not really 'angry' as they try to make it sound but with PD their anger is real!

@wrarmatei well put!

@cyclops1092 You'd be surprised, dude. Lots of young people that still have peer groups will like co-opt something just because of the social implications. Pig Destroyer has a pretty "metal" name and many people will also have music as background noise, rather than actually engaging with it by attentively listening to it. That last bit is why the hit music terrestrial radio stations play music that is all extremely similar and there will be waves of shit that all sounds the same.

@wrarmatei sorry to side bust the convo, but if he likes PigDestroyer I bet he does not like slipknot, just sayin

PART 3: Considering that I liked the most BtP/LoG, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Slipknot, Killswitch, Cattle Decapitation and so on, about eight years ago(when 14+) and began to lose interest thereafter as I started enjoying terrible noise(Fuck the Facts, Sawttoth Grin, Brutal Truth, Phoenix Bodies, Daughters, The Locust, Union of Uranus, Portraits of Past, Architect, Pg.99, Gaza etc)...I choose to discover new unpleasant noise, not researching LoG; don't need to justify why I hate something.

PART TWO: --isn't a hobby of mine that I will do "homework" for...think of how many people used to listen to Korn, stopped after Follow the Leader; would you expect many of them to keep track of what's goin' on for ol' Korn long after they stopped enjoying their music? The weakness in your logic gets even funnier [to me] when someone considers shitty pop-grunge-alternative of the later part of the nineties...BtP/LoG is music that I loved when it was "the new shit"(99-'03), then I got older...

@mistermayhem1247 PART ONE:
Why would anyone continue to read about any type of entertainment/art that they dislike long after the fact? That's fucking ridiculous. Considering that I lost interest in them after Palaces, but still gave Ashes and Sacrament a fair shot(multiple start to finish listens) and have even given Wrath a full listen, that is already going above and beyond what most people do, in relation to bands they don't enjoy anymore. Being able to explain why I don't like music...
Easily the best grind band out there.
Fuck it, easily the best band out there. Period.

Based on what? It's a pretty wide genre. Some people probably think that the shit you like is fucking garbage.
(quite possibly Slipknot, Hatebreed or Lamb of God...which is contrived anger with little to no meaning)
