What was the difference between this version and the original?

It's not that old. This version premiered in 92/93 if I'm not mistaken. The likes of GI Joe and Transformers were in their height a decade earlier and had animation about on par with this.

@Tenspeeder They also changed it so Linka's from Eastern Europe rather than the Soviet Union.

@SDStar00 Also, when they mention Linka in the orignal version they say she is from the Soviet Union but in this version they say Eastern Europe. The original version was made before the fall of the Soviet Union.
