Hi, I'm curious. Do those swaying chains ever swing out far enough they could hit an oncoming vehicle? Cars and trucks don't mix well on the highway. I read a lot about trucks coming apart. I'm from Whatcom Co.

@rbishop Anythings possible but if I saw anything swing out in another lane i would def stop and fix it. I can tell just by looking in my mirror is anything is in another lane. Those chains you see are locked on to the binder to keep the binder tied closed. Canada required the bunder to be chained down in the locked position.

@g89956 Every state here has its own little rules and ideas so it really makes things a mess.

Jeff I really hate to ask a stupid question but exactly what kinda trailer is that....I pull a Magnolia double bunk which is just a 40ft frame with 4 bolsters and we also have pole trailers with a single pole connectin the front bunk with the rear of the trailer....is your trailer anything like that???

We have high Mts and hair pin switchbacks here so that trailer is hitched at the stinger out the back of the truck frame. Brand is Lincoln. Two bunks one mounted on the truck and one on the trailer. Both bunks turn and there is a compansator pipe that slides in and out of the reach when turning, It's quite the set up.
