  • Dude, don't play that "thick" record on _that_ turntable!! It's an Edison record with vertical grooves, and you'll destroy it on that lateral groove-compatible machine.

  • Do not play the thicker record on this phonograph. It is an Edison diamond disk made for play only on a diamond disk player. Also, do not use a steel needle for more than one or two plays or you will destroy the records. They are not made of plastic.

  • The 78 reocrds are made from shellac - not plastic. That thick record is an Edison Diamond Disc and it should never be player with a steel needle machine like the one it is on now. It must be played with an Edison Diamond Disc Reproducer that uses a diamond instead of steel needles. One play with a steel needle and the grooves are shot. BTW The Vic V is SWEEEET!
