neil's diversity, and complexity of working out the drab drum solo, and turning it into an actual rhythmic piece of music, is genius..he's a true musician,and percussionist and drummer..and innovator and pioneer of modern rock drumming , just as ringo and Bonzo did before him..drumming is not about tricks, chops and blinding speed and technique ..it's about musicality..krupa, rich, morello, roach, bellson,gadd all did this..so if you "drummers"out there think i'm wrong, i dare you to rebuttal !

what i'm about to post goes out to every single drummer out there who thinks neil's over rated or isn't anything special..and i will continue to post this until my laptop keys disintegrate..Neil Peart is fine drummer ,musician song writer,and human being..all you so called drummers out there wouldn't know this because the only thing you have on your minds is who 's the best solo drummer...he's one the most popular, respected, beloved, and influential drummers of the last 3 decades..

I completely disagree. I think this particular drum solo even displays more of his diversity. Neil is a constant student who who will learn and master new drumming styles well into his 80s. Ive seen rush 11 times dating back to 1982 and every drum solo is brilliant in its own way. This drum solo is more simplified yes but it doesnt take away from the mastery of it still.....Joey jordison and travis barker suck by the way. They have no creativity in their drumming.

i don't care what anyone says..neil peart is a master drummer, percussionist, showman, musician , lyricist, innovator , and all around great human being !! he took the drab, boring drum solo and made into something fun to watch and listen to !! long live the king of drums !! neil peart !
