2011 Defending the American Dream Summit Highlights

November 4-5th over 2,000 activists came out to the Defending the American Dream Summit to show their support for economic freedom. On the other side, the "occupy" group launched an attack on our own peaceable assembly and expression of free speech. After the 2011 Summit it's more clear than ever which vision for America we should embrace.

Lastly if you tax the "top 1%" 100 % of their income you will accomplish two things. 1. You will as we can see by the numbers above be no where near paying for an increase in spending as their money will run out before a few months at best. @. Who will you take from next year? Once you have cleaned out their bank accounts where will they get the money from next year? How many will loose their jobs then?????

@lestat17902 under the Breton woods agreement bankers would confiscate american wealth and use it to rebuild factories overseas to compete with american jobs . This was done through a system of institutionalized inflation. Foreigners could redeem their dollars with gold and silver in the IMF trust fund but american citizens could not, eventually the bullion ran out in1971 when Nixon illegally removed the convertibility of silver from the dollar.

@supreme600 That is exactly what our government has been doing. The "rich 1%" have collected more of it than you and I have. Problem remains the same. They don't print the money. You sound like those from the late 40"s when they sent money and goods to the rest of the world to rebuild with after WWII. It took a while but the inflation that hit our country was really rough in the 60"s and 70"s. Where do you think that came from? Once again our government is trying to spend the rest of us poor.

@cindynowitzke they just dont want to be ripped off like america got from 2000-2006 with the repeal of glass-steagall we are now pray for thr predetors how do you let the financial institutions compete world wide without having them take advantage of the americans people you after you repeal glass steagall you do it with 2500 regulations or you bring back glass-steagall and they will not be able to compete world wide
