@komododragosh the spike grave dose 2-3 times more damage (can effect buildings such as non armored hives) but is less accurate

hmmm when you were at the first hive after dieing (aka: killing the important tank
) the symbole for the hive was still there!

@komododragosh ya you need the tank because nothing else can break the hives (to let you know you can find event that will let you drive thermobaric tank)
