Those are some good grooming techniques. Plus, it's enjoyable to watch a horse with such good training. Oh and one more thing, stop by my profile and view some of my equine videos. Especially look at the one on Don't Skip Zip. He's a congress winning quarter horse and a leading equistat sire.

lv2tlmts- how did he not groom him well? his horse is perfect as it is.

He probably does do it in the same order each time.
I do with all my horses, and most of them already have it raised also.
The only one I have problems with is Okie.
But he'll lift it as soon as i touch it.
I'd used to have to bump him slightly with my hip, and he eventually got the idea to just lift it willingly.

how did you teach him to lift up his feet like that, he already knew what foot you were going to do next, is this becasue you always do it in the same order?

ummm i just wanna say that he didn't groom him vey well... however, good work with his training!

Dallas is such a good boy! How do you teach a horse who is used to being squeezed to lift a hoof to lift it when you bend over by it? You seem to be doing a great job with him. :)

Greetings! Cristy here, the friend and Photographer of David & Dallas. David first took his time meeting the bloodline, selecting a very nice pony from the start. Then he spent countless hours of patient training on and off him. Having watched David train Dallas from the start and given he just turned 3 and can go anywhere on trail, I'd say good disposition for both horse and trainer was the key all the way around! Cheers!
