I have exactly the same car as a courtesy car for a week and I was getting 50mpg and thrashing it through town. had it 5 days now, its very fun to drive (but 1.2).

I really doubt that the little jazz can achieve this with 3-4 ppl in the car, with a normal day driving.

You can have the same MPG by a Diesel and it will be a 2.0 L with a 110-130 BHP + you can drive like a maniac with 4 ppl in the car and a full trunk pulling your neighbors fence behind you and still get the same figures.

The worst a friend of mine has from his 2.2 HDI 136 Bhp is - 7 L/100 km (City)
