This was our first power mower, Sunbeam twin blade, worked great for years (bought probably in the middle 1960s). Bearings for blade shafts wore out and made it horribly noisy but it still worked, sort of. Gave it to neighbor way back. Nice for our small yard, as well as for storage, lots smaller than "standard" electric mowers with full size deck and blade. No bagging option however with twin discharge chutes though.
I just come across a Sunbeam RE-18B and an RE-18C twin blade 18" Sunbeam mowers from the 1950's era. one operates and the other is missing a "pulley"? one is green and one is red the one that runs and is whole is the red one..the cutest things..
I have one like this and I use it a lot.For small areas or small lawns it is the best. It cuts great, very easy to start and you can get into tight places with it. It's not heavy. I am always worried something will go wrong with it that won't be fixable. We very often don't get better stuff manufactured for us and I can't figure out why.
I doubt if he wants to sell it... these are rare birds now. I have a 1983 Sears Craftsman twin-blade electric mower and have no intention to part with it due to its obscurity of parts.

For a real good looking one expect to pay a very high price because there just aren't many of these left.
