2nd fret D string bend, pluck high e, then 4th fret A string bend (repeat) for the verse
Hammer 2nd fret A, pluck D string follwed by 4th fret on A

sounds like open D, tuned down a half step. open D flat!

RL often played in open g -- he called it Spanish tuning.
