@yakhub Yes, some of the many motivations of Muslim scientists to be open minded and thirsty for knowledge would have been the first word in the Qur'an revealed to the Prophet, "Read", and sayings of Prophet Muhammad such as ‘Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim' and Seek for knowledge even if it's in China (As China was very far at that time).
