  • @barronvonripper Really????????? Was it Jon's actual BST?!?

  • @rjensen264 I bought a BST-1000 off craigslist. A pretty gnarly sounding guitar. Because the pickups are not wax coated (Jon screaming into them) they kind of sound old and crunchy. The guitar was actually signed by Jon.

  • like a jhs commercial UGH

  • i like how the guitar tech knows nothing about the gear.

  • @BabyMan39 Good question. I'd like to learn all that myself, but I have no idea where to start.

  • @rjensen264 Me, too! Like I said, the whole band chooses amazing instruments.

  • @rjensen264 I thought that his was a Starla Stoptail. But whatever. I think that the Starla is better than the BST 1000, and you think the opposite. We are both entitled to our own opinions.

  • @iwishiwasjonforeman I really like Jon's taste in guitars. I also really like Drew's.

  • @iwishiwasjonforeman I actually looked on Ebay, and they do have Jon's white starla, but its actually a Starla X, but for me, if i was given the chance to either have a PRS Starla or a Gretsch BST-1000, I think I would rather take the BST, i just REALLY like the sound of vintage guitars. I actually saw one in person and if I could ever find one for the right price i would totally take it. But dont get me wrong, the Starla is AMAZING as well.

  • @rjensen264 (continued) ... body that spells "Vice Verses" and on the that makes the Switchfoot logo on the headstock is stunning as well. Another point to make is that I can't find any white Starla Stoptails with black pickguards (like Jon's guitar) online. I haven't looked at any music stores yet, but I'm worried that Jon's is a special Starla that isn't commercially available. If I can't get it in white, I think I'll get it in vintage cherry or mahogany. That is, when I can afford it!
