the civilian ones come in a clear bag instead of brown.

Good improvement - the 1980's MREs were O.K. but didn't show much imagination. Nearly everything was a variant of Meat & Gravy or Meat & Barbecue Sauce themes.

mmmmm those brownies look good, but please for the sake of man kind, take out the omlette. in both MRE's and IMP's the omlette is just plain nasty.
