You have a very lovely accent :) I have family who live in Birmingham, but only my cousins were born in Alabama and have the accent. I'm from Missouri (but have lived in northern Illinois for the past 10 years and people there generally don't have southern accents. Are people from Missouri even considered "Yankees" there?

@bahannah32 You don't trust me! I don't actually mind the accent. It's just really hard to prove your intelligence sometimes. People from other states assume you're ignorant just from your accent. I've always overcompensated because of this. I don't like to be lumped into a category just because of my accent but it happens quite often
