The music to this song reminded me of the MOVEMENT music from back in the
60's and 70's like Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud by James Brown or Move on up or Keep on Pushing by Curtis Mayfield.

I wanted to create a song that spoke the truth about a Black Man's Journey in America. To God be the Glory for the lyrics. The amazing part about this song is that it was created long before the Democratic National Convention and before I ever realized that Barack Obama would be making his acceptance speech on the same day that Martin Luther King said his speech at the March on Washington.

This is definitely the song for this moment in America's history.
1492- 2008 is a long time to go without someone who truly understands our issues who is not privileged.

ATTENTION AMERICA

Until Old America rights their wrong, the pain from the past still keeps popping up. As we approach November, show us that Old America is born again (all former things passed away)into a New America that is not based on racism, division, abuse, discrimination, hatred, greed, lies, and all of the works of the flesh. America has done absolutely nothing to correct the mistakes from the past which is evident because Indians are still on Reservations like they just had Thanksgiving dinner with the Pilgrims and becoming extinct as a result. They must come into civilization and Be fruitful and Multiply. While Americans from Africa/ Blacks are still suffering in poverty like we just got off the slave ship. It's a direct correlation to the 500 years of free labor that America has never paid for. Right your wrong America instead of trying to get away with it and lets start talking about the truth instead of sweeping it under a rug out of fear. Once America corrects their mistakes,we can truly forgive and wipe our slate clean and start a new birth of America. As long as we continue to suffer and the residue and stinch of slavery and Jim Crow is still around to serve as a reminder, this country can't heal, forgive and move on. Let's start the healing process America and it starts by having dialogue about race relations not by avoiding and tip-toeing around the subject (Fear-based not Faith-based). There are some white people around who are afraid of what this country will become if Barack Obama becomes President. Let me address that fear- Africans never came over to Europe or America and kidnapped white people and enslaved them for 500 years. Africans were miniding their business living as Kings and Queens. We as descendants of slaves don't have a scheme to kidnap whites and send them to Africa to work for free. The power of GOD's forgiveness allows us to welcome you into our culture and communities and not harbor hatred or resentment for the actions of your forefathers. So none of you have to worry about revenge, but be worried that you will finally get to see what America should have been like if America was ran by a person who walked in LOVE and by the fruits of the spirit not by Hate and the fruits the sinful nature.

GOD BLESS NEW AMERICA

Disclaimer- This song and footage is not endorsed by Barack Obama, Michelle Obama or anyone affiliated with Barack Obama's Presidential Campaign. Nor is it intended to offend, but rather speak the truth that many are too afraid to talk about and uplift my people during one of the greatest moments in our history.

The music to this song came from Robin Thicke's Magic, make sure you check him out.

  • I was set free from the law of sin and death

    through Christ

I was set free from abuse that stemmed from slavery and was whipped and beat like slaves were

I was set free from every ISM & form of oppression that Blacks ever faced in this country.

I have been set free from self hatred and mental oppression that prevented me from making my dreams a reality

I have been set free from Poverty through Christ that will soon manifest in the flesh

I was a slave but GOD Set Me Free

  • Barack Obama- "ENOUGH'

This clip is @ our Journey from Slavery to Freedom. To the Privileged-until you have walked or marched a mile in our shoes and fought for everything, you have no idea. To this day many are still in poverty as a direct connect to slavery and the 500 years of free labor -Indians still on reservations, we are just getting the 1st Black President since 1492- The greatest command is to Love GOD first then love they neighbor as thyself- Lets look beyond color & walk n love

  • @tms894 I know this is an old message but I couldn't help but comment. U say there's just as much, how so??? Hispanics have to deal with a crack epidemic and if that wasn't enough, crack laws that often tripled cocaine laws when we speak of time you get? What about the Red Lining? What about the welfare that is being used to to feed the drug problems of the inner city, a sensationalism of black crime as if blacks commit more then other races. U have an opinion backed by no research what so ever

  • thank you, buzzer. i think this november will be reminescent of '94 with the republican revolution led by newt gingrinch.

if only the repub's will stick to their principles rather than cave in to liberal pressures - like the bush administration did. a mc cain nomination was obama's key to a victory. voter fraud, white youthful naivity and conservative apathy about mc cain put obama over the top. i hope the repub's have learned their lesson. otherwise, this country is toast.

  • yOU ARE RIGHT MY BROTHER!

  • and sing kumbaya.

  • i love fried chicken and i'm white.

my wife and i lived in an apartment across the freeway from a side street that had a 'church's' on one side and a 'popeye's' on the other.

needless to say, we ate plenty of chicken and never got burned out.

my wife worked at an insurance agency in a strip mall next to a 'domino's' pizza. she used to bring it home 2 or 3 times a week. we gave some of it to the dog but we it would have made him sick... too spicy. poor thing. he loved it, though.

  • with his skimpy resume', if he had been white, the audience would have laughed him off the stage at the debates.

this man, who has never been in charge of running a lemonade stand, now has his finger - on and has access to - the most lethal sophisticated nuclear arsenal the world has ever seen. that should scare the hell out of everyone.

that idiot biden in second in command...then that numbskulled uberliberal nancy pelosi who accused the c.i.a. of lying to congress...among other things.

  • aleiaxen, who do you think could have actually made a difference. Who did "they kill ... in june 1963"

JFK was killed in Nov. 1963

MLK JR on April 4, 1968

    Bobby on June 5, 1968

  • You are prob correct...and what is your point months later???

  • what??!?!? so all black people speak with a urban accent??? wow
