long answer: a kitchen or at the table would've been kinda predictable since it's about thanksgiving. the grandma character is a bit more unexpected since i'm sitting in my room. also, the bedroom makes the video more of a conversation between me and the audience, as opposed to a production or sketch using a set. that's actually one of my favorite things about YouTube. i like the idea of the character being part of my imagination, that comes to life as i'm talking.

short answer: i'm lazy.

Its HER grandmother, how do you know what she talks,looks, or dresses like? Or where she is from? You don't! How can you accuse her of being/acting as a "Sterotypical black grandma", or a slave? And the video was probably meant to be about what she says and what weird things families say, not by what they look or talk like. Maybe you look at things different or I do, but I found this funny. And I didnt care what she looked like. Her skin couldve been pink, I wouldnt have judged or been racists

My grandmother, anytime a gay couple appears on tv : "I'm so glad you and your cousin aren't like that."

And last week she got very awkward when I told her I liked some girls as well as guys. I guess they'll have to deal with it now ^^

yeah ..umm...so the wonderful husband decided to blurt out that we were pregnant (2 weeks along...we agreed to wait to mention it but he thought that meant ...wait a day?)

Anyway HIS mother sees me in person a few days after this announcement (she was in the company of her other 80-something yr old friends), she touches my boobs& says "you dont have the pregnant look yet, not even the swollen boobs. its going to be so much fun to see you pregnant"

My "aunt" (or my mother's step-sister rather) announced her daughter's first period at the breakfast table after my grandmother's funeral infront of my grandfather. She also began prodding my mom to tell her when me and my sis got our first period (In my house it's not widely talked about especially not infront of men). My mom almost killed her due to how disrespectful and embarrassing she was being.
