@WarbirdPylonRacer - 7/16 inch outer diameter, 2/16 inch inner diameter latex tubing (it's the black "dipped" tubing, but has the same stretch versus tension physics as regular latex tubing). The tubing is 60 feet long, and generates 24 lbs of tension pulled back 180 feet (total 240 feet) and 27 lbs if pulled back 210 feet (270 feet total distance). The "string" is 50 lb test monofilament fishing line, 210 feet long.

The glider has separate flaps, which allows the speed to be held down while descending. Hand catching keeps the model from getting dinged up.
