  • Thank you for posting this!

  • This is very special.

  • "Palmer is the single reason why the Bengals will not win a Super Bowl in this era."

Since when did football stop becoming a TEAM sport?

"and lacks 1/10 of the leadership ability of Tebow"

That's an irrational statistic. Since when can leadership be measured in quantifiable terms? lol

  • @carlpers777 "What he perhaps lacks in pocket passing ability he more than makes up for in faith."

HA! That doesn't mean that will transfer to on field production! Ask Danny Wuerfell! LMAO!

  • @carlpers777 How many Heisman winners become successful NFL players? The answer is not the majority. You yourself acknowledged that to some extent when u said, "the truth is half of the stars in the NFL were low draft picks who were no names in college."

  • "The only reason why there is such a heavy emphasis on pocket passing is... the qbs in the NFL would be people of color."

"The NFL is going to keep that position - 'the thinking position of the football team" - as limited in color as possible."

What a bunch bullshit. I thought this was a decent debate between 2 different approaches to how 1 becomes a successful QB in the NFL but its now apparent I'm just wasting my time w/ som1 whose knowledge of football goes no farther than lazy idealism.

  • @orioles97 The only reason why there is such a heavy emphasis on pocket passing is because if the game were played with a mobile qb the vast majority of the the qbs in the NFL would be people of color.

    Tebow is an exception.

The NFL is going to keep that position-"the thinking position of the football team" - as limited in color as possible.

When you see the QBs from Nebraska, Auburn, Ohio State and Michigan as well as Tebow, you see the dawning of a new age in professional football.

  • @orioles97 Palmer is the single reason why the Bengals will not win a Super Bowl in this era. He is probably the most overrated QB in the NFL. He consistently makes horrible decisions, puts his defense in impossible predicaments, and lacks 1/10 of the leadership ability of Tebow.

Sanchez is a media hype. He came to NY which is known for making or breaking you, and became a media darling. He throws about three passes longer than 10 yards all year and relies on a running game and a grt def

  • @orioles97 How many of those with less faith were Heisman contenders three of the four years they played in college, won two national championships, three SEC Eastern Dvision Championships and two SEC Championships?

What he perhaps lacks in pocket passing ability he more than makes up for in faith. We can't really comment on other successful players' faiths because they don't necessarily put their faith at the forefront of their career as he does.

  • "The truth is half of the stars in the NFL were low draft picks who were no names in college."

I hardly think of Tim as a low draft choice. He went in the 1st rd.

"Look at all the USC pocket passers that are flaming out in the NFL"

Carson Palmer's done just fine. Leinhart hasn't. Sanchez has shown promise.

That's only one 'flame out' out of 3 QB's who have come out of USC in the past 7 years.
