Predictions for 2012

In today's episode of XDA TV, Sam takes you on a journey to the future. Unfortunately he doesn't have a TARDIS, so the results may be different in reality than speculated here, but we'll have to make do with what we've got. 3D used poorly (as it is most of the time), is bloody horrible, I agree. However when it's used well, and intelligently, it's bloody amazing! Go check out Tron if you don't believe me.

@Urmarica The 3DS wasnt a failure at all indeed but the HTC EVO 3D just plainly sucked :/ it was my phone for more than half a year but it just was too laggy, the screen sucked, the 3d was just plain ugly and the viewing angles were horrible. The device protested at any way to improve it and the hardware just didnt play along with the codecs.

Well, Sam I guess you haven't watched 3d movie with polarized tech. Like Windows phones, I'm pretty sure you haven't found the right environment yet. Although I do agree that 3d phones are gimmicks and available 3d movies are not that good even the best of them. Heck Avatar is kinda trashy save for its 3d glory.

I predict Xperia X8 will be on low activity phones category, and a lot of people will scream when it happen.

We have almost no devs, so what are we expecting of? Our phone isn't old, come on! 1,5 Years, it's a very good phone for it's price. i love it. But we have only a few devs. we had a lot of devs, but they moved to Xperia Ray, Xperia Arc and other high-end phones. It's sad... i will maybe buy Arc S and forget about this, it has good price too here in Portugal, around 300€ on Vodafone PT

1.EVO 3D is a great phone ... i would'nt trade it for any other phone....the 3D camera is a great conversation starter...Galaxy S-II is good hardware, but i cant live without HTC software...it might be bloated but its very functional...you cant beat or copy the contacts and browser (everything else has been ported to other phones)

2. 3D movies make more money because you have to pay more to watch IMAX 3D version of the movie....and/or there is also DTS version(amc theathers) thats more money.
