Milwaukee's new M12 Hackzall is a welcome addition for virtually all tradesmen and end users. Whilst the reciprocating saw has traditionally been considered one of the most versatile of all power tools, it has also been one of the most unwieldy. However, the new M12's lightweight design offers effective one-handed operation and much less user fatigue. Its compactness makes it easier to access tight spaces and awkward angles. Its 13mm stroke length, 3000 spm and variable speed trigger provide greater user control, while the keyless QUICK-LOKTM blade clamp ensures quick and easy blade changes. The M12 Hackzall features a 12V Lithium-Ion battery and cuts over 80 pieces of 50mm PVC on a single charge. It also has a useful built-in LED light which illuminates the work surface and a Battery Fuel Gauge that displays the remaining running time. The all-metal gear case and gears sustains Milwaukee's legendary reputation for durability.
The M12 Hackzall comess with two 12V Lithium-Ion batteries, a 30 minute charger, two HACKZALLTM blades and a carrying case.
Tested according to a stringent certified programme before leaving the factory and warranted to be Nothing-But-Heavy-Duty qualified, Milwaukee Electric Tools are now offered with extended warranty conditions to 3 years at no cost*.
The M12 line from Milwaukee is perfect for me. Recently replaced an aging DeWalt 18v. set (which I got a lot of "mileage" out of over the years) with the Milwaukee M12 line. Couldn't be happier. I'm not a pro-level builder, but am pretty handy around the house, and like to help friends with projects where tools like this are helpful. So the M12 made sense for me (as opposed to the more powerful (and expensive) 18- or 24-volt models). I highly recommend the M12: solid, dependable, and affordable.

I love this thing. When I need to do precise cuts into drywall and other materials it works great. Though it may not have the power of a Sawzall, the versatility goes a lone way.
