Qari/Shaykh Mishaari bin Raashid al-Afaasi (my favorite) reciting part of Surah al-A'raaf during the taraweeh in the blessed and holy nights of Ramadaan.

He is the main Imaam (leader of the prayers) at Masjid Kabeer (the Grand Mosque) in Kuwait.

His other recitations are amazing as well, Masha'Allah.

  • Religion is a thing to make you a better person. Read and listen to what it has to tell you. But if it tells you, that you must die to a higher power that you have not personally seen before, then you are a little bit extreme.

  • salaam

Your atheistic comment is very superficial. "God" in any language is what? A supreme being, the creator. In any language and/or religion, the word "God" refers to a creator who has all power and is not to be questioned. A supreme being such as God cannot be seen by his creation which is absolutely nothing in front of him.

  • When a man asked Ali (R) to show him god, Ali (R) ordered him to first look at the sun. The man replied, "I am not able to, it is too powerful and hurts my eyes." Ali (R) responded, "If you cannot see the creation, then how do you expect to see the Creator?" Subhanallah.

  • salaam

alHamdulillah some of you can benefit from this.

One of Shaykh al-Afaasi's best recitations is Surah Qaaf:

Have you even opened the Qur'an? I doubt that because if you had done so, you would have said otherwise. Perhaps before you make such a statement, do some research and I mean ASK MUSLIMS/MUSLIM SCHOLARS to explain to you.

  • He is also my favorite Qari, Insyallah if my age permit I want to be one of the makmum. Amin.

  • How can the Quran be called Holy? Since its intrinsic teachings are 180 degrees from the truth, it must be wholly UNHOLLY!

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Surely the teachings of the Quran are, as a whole, blasphemous.
