HELLLLOOOOO GEEKS!!!
Well we finally got our video up on how to root the Motorola Droid X on 2.2 Froyo. The video will show you how to install and root the Motorola Droid X using a program titled RootmyX2. You'll need to make sure that you have .NET Framework up to date and you'll also have to proceed to and download all the Motorola Mobile USB drivers. Links provided at the bottom. The process is pretty straight forward and as I stated in the video you might have to play around with what USB function you have it on, Media Sync worked for us. Again, I will try my very best to answer all your questions and feel free to proceed to our other videos if you would to overclock your Motorola Droid X.

  • for some reason its not locating my device?

  • @PoppinCain Couple things. Make sure the drivers are installed, make sure you have usb debugging on, and make sure that you're using an OEM data cable. Another thing you might want to try is to put USB debugging on and then power off the phone and power it back on before you connect. Let the phone fully reboot and then connect it to the comp. Let me know how that goes.

  • F*****g finally!!! Thanks a lot man, after trying a couple of other methods yours finally worked.

  • @kupratty76 That's awesome man! Glad we were able to help out.

  • @CHSKATER1985 You have to flash it and tell the new carrier to add your MEID to their system...I think you have to program the phone then to get data...

  • Does this work on a phone running 2.2.1. I have ran this process about 10 times and have tried all the modes and followed all the directions and it fails everytime. It tells me the root failed.

  • what happens if it takes more than 5 minutes? becuase i'm trying to run this, but it doesn't go any longer than almost half way through for the bar, and stops at "waiting for device... " and does not go farther to finish the root.

  • This does not work on the Droid X running Android 2.2.1...
