Cowen's a beast, much better player than Nazem Kadri

Definitely disagree there. Cowen's size/skating combination is phenomenal and very comparable to Hedman's. His offensive game keeps him from being on par with VH, but he's got a lot of time to develop it.

Keep in mind it was Cowen and the Chiefs who shut down Kadri and the Rangers in the Mem. Cup.

Kadri's a good player, too. But I'm very happy the Sens landed Cowen.

Why is anyone comparing Kadri to Cowen? Because the Senators tried to trade up to take Kadri?

They got a steal with Cowen at 9, and I think that in the long run it's better for the Senators.

The Leafs are just going to find a way to ruin Kadri anyways. Or they'll trade him for a has-been before he even plays a game for the Leafs.

Uh dumbass...if you look at Toronto and Ottawas needs going into that draft you will see that Ottawa needed a big mean mobile shutdown dman. Toronto needed a playmaking center. Ottawa already has Spezza and Regin. Why get Kadri? Toronto had Schenn. So they dont need a Cowen. ill tell you one thing, if the Sens wouldve drafted Kadri,Toronto take Cowen id be scared to play the leafs. What would Spezza & Kadri gonna do vs Scheen + Cowen?
