ok this was my first Unboxing and first Video Review so please leave comments to help me get better.

The Logitech Vision Pro is a great webcam and I recommend if you don't have a webcam, to get the Vision Pro. I like the Quality, the autofocus, the size, and shape.
Leave a comment if you think the microphone should be better.

The webcam is great to connect to a new mac or an old one.

  • I have this webcam but it doesn't look like HD quality. The video is not too great. You see a fanning (for lack of a better term) effect when you move your arms/hands....not smooth at all. I'm using a 42" Sony Bravia as my monitor - coming from the HDMI out of a mac mini. Also the audio has a tendency to clip when I raise my voice. I don't think this camera is good for the price. It should be $39.99.

Any thoughts on hos to make it perform better...?

  • @Diabolical973 It sounds like a defective camera. If you're going to return it I recommend getting the "TouchCam N1 by FaceVsion" just google what's in quotes and you'll find it. It runs for around $120 a bit more than the logitech, but it works with both windows and mac. Also the specs are a lot better.

If you get it, let me know what you think of it, I'm about to sell my logitech to buy the FaceVsion.

  • Amator's Windows drivers for Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro:

  • @MrPressoff that driver is for the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000; which is for a windows computer. This is the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro which is for mac.

  • Got it today and had a good play around with it. Excellent, Photobooth is brilliant, I was impressed with the low light conditions as well (You were right about unplugging it and re-inserting it) My little girl talked to her nanny tonight on Skype (UK to Seattle) and the quality was awesome, before this we used my windows netbook and it was crap. anyone with a mac and no camera.... Just go and buy it. Thanks Graham, I was on the fence and you pushed me onto the right side. Pete...

  • Awesome!!

Let me know what you think of it, when it arrives and you've had a chance to play around with it.

  • Thanks for the response, I've just ordered one from amazon.

  • It works great with Photo Booth, I don't use Skype for video chatting so I'm not sure; but I do know that it works with Skype, I just don't know what the quality is like. I use iChat and I can say the quality is just as good as the iSight.

One thing I would like to say it the camera has a problem with Snow Leopard and makes the picture dark after being plugged into the computer for a while. A quick solution it unplug and replug it in before your going to use it.

  • Good review, I have a mac mini. What is it like with Skype and Photobooth?
