This is from a 1978 140 HP Crossflow Trim / Tilt. I replaced the motor but the center cylinder doesn't go down when it's supposed to. This model requires lifting the boat from the motor and spreading the stern supports along the steering tube for removal. It's a pain in the butt. The motor and fluid reservior are too big for front removal corrected in later models. From what i can tell though, the motors are interchangeable with newer long as it's the triangle 3 bolt mount.
