It looked like you were using a coiling technique here. Would you say that is easier than using a clay slab?

it is just a different approach. both has it's difficulties. but from our experience we know, that this technique takes us longer than the one we use now (as in the other film).

so how'd it come out? any tips for people like myself who might try this themselves?

very basically you make two bowls, then put em together to form an egg. while drying a bit, you make a tube and then cut two holes - one in center and one in top, where you also add the tube. but it is a lot about trying different sizes (of holes and tube and body). so it is best to measure another udu before starting) on this one we tried different tubes. it sounds fine, but it turned out a bit too heavy to carry for long. still it is much fun (playing and claying). so i hope you try it out...

@a0e0roberts In my opinion the Coil just took too long for me to make an UDu And It didn't work out. so i did it in 2 slabs with a basketball. I have it up on my videos.
