Its not so bad if you imagine they all have colds and Meowth is a smoker :I

(Or Wheezing's smog finally hit them all and messed with their throat/lungs xD)

At least they're trying to imitate the voices instead of Ash's like, reverse puberty. One season its deep, next its not, next its deep again, next its just scratchy. I do miss the old voices, but it can't be helped. Ash's is the worst out of them though.

That would mean either just Rachael back, or the original original trio from the first few episodes of Kanto. And it wouldn't have been worth it for just 30 some seconds of a motto.
