  • This refusal to shake business is just pathetic. Shaking the hands before the game is a long tradition of sportsmanship and class, even if you don't respect each other respect the game and shake hands.

  • seems strange. most of the top GMs do have a first name that starts with V.. example.. Veselin (Topalov) Vladimir (Kramnik) Viswanathan (Anand) Vassily (Ivanchuk) Vugar (Gashimov) Vachier-Lagrave (Maxime) Vladimir (Akopian) Vallejo (Francisco) Viktor (Bologan) Van Wely (Loek) Volokitin (Andrei)

  • @redjimenez Sorry, I´m spanish and "Vallejo" is the surname and "Francisco" the first name.

  • Isn't this the game where topalov sacs Nf7? He sure destroyed Kramnik that game -.-

  • whats the name of the music ?

  • @redjimenez you forgot Korchy

  • @2TheDeath this is stupid they dont want to shake hands and they dont there is no such law or respect they are not obliged to shake but to play chess :) if the person is unpleasant i wont shake hand too

  • You are a douche period. Youre Topalovs left testicle you pathetic shit.

  • Kramnik is a douche period

  • I agree that good sportsment should shake hands, but the rules should concern themselves with the operations within the chess board and nothing more.

It's typical of todays political correctness that people should advocate the rules proscribing how individual players behave. People are free to make their own choices and if one chooses to insult another - that is a matter for his conscience.

  • Anand at the end: la la la la la la oh hey look topalov and kramnik.. well what do ya know

  • @2TheDeath I don't see why you have to consider "class" as a real value generally in sports, better is not to pretend what you don't feel and being a hypocrite, by the way, sportmanship is not about shaking hands, but about not to cheat or set horrible lies upon your opponents.
