Thanks, Don!.To add to this, the frontal cortex of the brain has a relationship with the "executive function". This area controls processing related to the ability to differentiate between conflicting thoughts, good vs. bad, same and different, consequences, working towards goals/tasks, predicting outcomes, and self control/ abiltiy to suppress urges. Children with Autism have issues with few or many of the above. This treatment expedites PT, OT, ABA and speech treatments.
