The Story of Jesus' Birth can be found in Luke 2: 1-14.As I look at the manager scene set up in my living room I can't help to think about the characters in the scene. We all are familiar with Joseph and Mary and the wise men but what about the Shepherds in the field who kept watch over their sheep. I think about their jobs in keeping the sheep together moving them place to place and safe from the wild animals. I ask myself what other responsibilities come with this job. I relate to my job as a Drill Sergeant back in the 70's. One of my tasks was to watch over my platoon of troops at night after a long day of training in the field. The troops depend on us protecting them as they sleep as the sheep depend on the shepherds to keep them from all harm.
Other scriptures I share are Matthew 25:1-13, and Matthew 25:31-34.
Jesus Christ was the ultimate AGAPE LOVE. Christ came in the flesh to serve, to teach and to keep a watch for our protection and to die for our salvation.
