@xoxofashiionista I think alot of it is undocumented. What I know of is certain things Madonna said about Janet to Michael that probably got back to Janet...along with the way Madonna spoke about Michael in the media in the early 90's (after the time they briefly hung out together). From what I have heard, Michael never really liked her (Madonna) either. lol As for Janet, I think alot of it had to do with her being the "protective sister" for her brother, but this is ALL speculation on my part.

MTV reporter, Kurt Loder, once said in the 90's, Janet Jackson was always 3 years behind Madonna.

@youthinkyourecute Kurt Loder was always up Madonna's butt. lol He stanned for her unapologetically back in the day. Hence, the reason Kurt would (usually) interview Madonna and John Norris (or one of the other VJs) would interview Janet.

@ExtravertmE Does that mean people had "forgotten about Madonna"? No it doesn't, It simply means she had to keep pushing to get back where she is now. All careers go through low points...this is Janet's, just like Madonna's in the 90's. Make no mistake about it they are both in same boat now with Madonna's only advantage being she can do bigger tours. BOTH are perhaps the most influential female artists of their time, though Janet doesn't receive credit for her impact as much as she should.

I love Janet. This is why in the early 90's she beat Diana Ross's record and still holds the most gold singles from a female artist and the ONLY artist to have 18 CONSECUTIVE top 10 hits. That's the way love goes is the most successful chart single from ANY member in Jackson family, she has the most soultrain awards and she also has the MOST Billboard Awards in history. She has 33! With a career spanning OVER 30 years, she is still in CONTROL. TV, music, movies, and concerts, Janet is the QUEEN!

Janet is MUCH better. she was classier, didn't steal from other artist, sang live and well, no one is a better dancer than Janet. She is a decent person too, Madonna has always been a bitch but I do like some of her videos/songs from the 80s, and early 90s. They are both inspirational.
