Using raw sugar in place of the white stuff gives the rice pudding a very nice flavor. Thanks for the recipe. Gonna make some today as a matter of fact. Also, Ms. ilovetocookalot, you are HOT HOT HOT!! Try not to eat too much rice pudding..don't want to mess up that lovely figure...

yes, that is exactly it - you can even take regular granulated white sugar and just grind it
in a food processor for 20 secs - it just
dissolves better ... (also, regular granulated sugar will work too)

I noticed you put the egg into the hot rice mixture. Should we be concerned with the eggs turning into scramble?

Not if you stir it constantly, there is enough hot liquid mass to cook the egg quickly without
scrambling same
