If you make private health insurance companies take EVERYBODY-that's going to make private health care insurance unaffordable. They screen pre-existing conditions to save money. Cancer, HIV, obesity, severe heart disease, chronic lungers (due to their abusing their own bodies for the most part), cost about a million dollars a person to cover. Health care insurance will jake up so high I won't be able to afford it because of people who abuse their bodies-their OWN CHOICE.Why should I have to pay?

Arrogance and money is a way of life for politicians in Washington. They are all ingratiating and corrupt. Nancy Pelosi knew exactly what the vote count would be on the Health killer Bill before the vote was called for. Bribe money used in Washington very freely comes from the tax payers.

The "Blue Dog Democrats" are DISINGENUOUS. Corruption continues in our government. This bill is the first step into Socialism and will continue until we vote them out of office. We must now focus on Senators with Credibility and Integrity if there are any.

Preventative medicine is a fad, and doctors know it. And don't believe everything you hear - no one is talking about closing emergency rooms. If anything there will be more free care because private providers like churches will have the feds off their back.

In this country, where 'conservative' means 'Drill Baby Drill', 'Shock & Awe', 'torture works' & 'let's ignore the climate change consensus', I guess you have a point.
By that def, maybe it IS more 'conservative' to pay more for less (ER care versus preventive medicine)...it sure is stupid, though.
Oddly, the obvious cost-cutting you folks are looking for (but lack the nuts to advance) is a "Don't Get Sick / Die Quickly" policy for the poor and uninsured. limit ER care=problem solved!
