Home Court 2011 Charity Basketball Game Highlights

Highlights from the 24th Annual Home Court Charity Basketball Game benefiting the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. This annual charity game pits members of Congress against members of the Georgetown Law faculty and staff. This year's game was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Trinity Center at Trinity Washington University in Northeast DC. The game raised more than $415,000 for the Legal Clinic, and the organization has raised more than $4 million for the Legal Clinic in the past 24 years.

This year's "Hill's Angels" team featured co-chairs Sen. Robert P. Casey, Jr. (PA) and Sen. John Thune (SD) as well as Sen. Scott Brown (MA), Rep. Andre Carson (IN), Rep. Jeff Flake (AZ), Rep. Gene Green (TX), Rep. Michael McIntyre (NC), Rep. Cedric Richmond (LA), and Rep. Laura Richardson (CA) as assistant coach. The team also featured special guests, Reggie Love and Arne Duncan.

The Hill's Angels defeated the Hoya Lawyas 61-49, but the real winner was the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, which will use the funds raised at Home Court in their work to end the unnecessary suffering caused by poverty and to advocate for justice for people who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless in Washington, DC.
