IR stands for Iwan Ries, and I believe the C stands for Chicago.
There are some reviews at tobaccoreviews website. Just browse under manufacturer Iwan Ries. The reviews are all under "IRC Flake". They are all very positive, but you seem like a dedicated flake smoker, and, if you were to give it a try, I'd love to get your impressions.

I wish I could help Jim, (it's a mystery to me) but seeing and hearing you speak about it has me wanting some! :) Glad to see you looking fit and feeling well. Living with Mum and Dad seems to agree with you.
Cheers,
Kel

Hi Jim, I have no idea about the flake, sorry. Bulk tobacco is still a great mystery to me. :-) The pipe is looking great though. Glad you enjoy it.
Cheers,

Nice to see you. Good idea to save it and order some of what you think it is. Nice pipe.
Have you had the IRC Virginia flake?
I haven't found any reviews on it.
Thanks

@taffyhit I have not heard of that. What does IRC stand for?

I have one version. This tobacco sold to You under the brand PS. Fact - on the official website of PS you can find that they sell (and produce?) Orlik Golden Sliced in 50 and 100g tins. The OGS 100 g version looks like Your PS flake. Version of 50g OGS looks like PS NF in bulk version. Another fact, that OGS and PS NF have a similar contain - flue cured Virginia with Louisiana Perique. Conclusion - you smoke OGS 100g in bulk version which is PS NF uncut version!! :-)

@ZubrisLV Very interesting! I have smoked OGS and I must admit that this does not match my recollection in terms of the topping (OGS tasted of oranges to me) but this was some time ago and the topping probably takes on different characteristics in the bulk blend. Definitely another possibility!

@PipesterJim This is my opinion, I think it is true, but the truth knows only the producer (Scandinavian tobacco group), which often changes the composition of mixtures. I was very surprised that the OGS ("A blend of golden, fully ripe virginia and a little burley. Naturally sweet.") have a Perique! (check PS web site), before there was Burley... Everything globalized and unified in the end ... Glad to help You Jim.

@ZubrisLV I just checked the website and in the illustration there the tobacco flakes look different to the OGS that I smoked, much more like my mystery flake...I also tasted the burley in it the first time, but I think that with the recipe change this could well be it. If so then that is excellent, as I like this much more than the tinned OGS I smoked before! :-)
