This is a review of the twisty puzzle called Rubik's 2x2x4 Tower.

This is a shape-shifting puzzle, and is made by the Rubik company. Note that the cubies are larger than that of a regular 3x3x3 cube (but smaller than a 2x2x2 Eastsheen), and that it uses the Japanese color scheme.

The Japanese color scheme has a White/Red/Yellow corner cubie with:
White opposite Blue
Red opposite Orange
Yellow opposite Green

The American color scheme has a White/Red/Blue corner cubie with:
White opposite Yellow
Red opposite Orange
Blue opposite Green

This cube, like most Rubik-brand cubes, is stiff when you get it, so you'll have to lube it and work it in to make it smoother.

You can buy the 2x2x4 at the following locations, along with other places on the Web:

  • Did you get your name from RedKB?

  • @anonamatron On a crazy 2x2x4, you can twist center pieces, what I meant when I posted this was twisting single corner pieces after the shape shifting (without changing their positions).

  • @EMI94100 ook for the Crazy 2x2x4.... you can turn it just like you're describing. The puzzle is a bit different than this, but I think it's what you're looking for.

  • @blizzardkb IMPORTANT!!!! Mine is dissassembled- how would I re assemble it? COuld I send it to you to reassemble it for me?

  • but you can disassemble it to pieces, and then collect?? If so, drop me a mail please, it is necessary

  • nice !

  • @housejacko redkb has one.

  • can you make a video how to assemble it

  • Its a 2x2 with extensions on the top and the bottom. When you make a L2 the puzzle wouldn't shape. But a L would just be doing a L on a 2x2.
