clearly ppl who do this aren't concerned with the fact that it's illegal, so hasn't it at least occurred to u that it would be safer just to call the person ur texting, that's also illegal but u could at least keep ur eyes on the road

i'll never be in this situation coz i'm not a diabolical idiot. it actually infuriates me that ppl text while driving, how dumb can u get. it's illegal to talk on the phone and even that would be a hundred times safer. if i get a text while driving, i can get the text on the screen without looking at it, and i'd just glance at it, if it was long i wouldn't read it till i was stationary, if it said "yeah" then i would see it in the millisecond i spent looking at it

the time it takes to read a text is what i was talking about. it takes a glance to read "yeah", it's a millisecond. we glance at loads of things while driving, (road signs, people, buildings etc.) it's not a dangerous thing to do. so i imagine that it wasn't reading the text that made her crash, maybe she had to look for her phone in her purse, maybe she was looking at her phone to navigate through menus to see the text, or maybe she was in a bad driving situation and was gonna crash either way

i will never txt again, once i hit a car on the back for fucking textin. the sad part is that traffic was moving less than 10miles an hour. i was a young kid but still. I learned my lesson. Please people. dont txt when u driving.

how do u manage to get urself into a situation where u will crash in the time it takes to read "yeah"? it wasn't "four little letters" that killed the girl she was just a bad driver

Today phones should be able to stop making sounds an send calls or SMS while driving them even if they are in the car only because it disturbs it and as always it should be able to be deactivated by user .
