@Totalreformer It all about safety and design, Japan didn’t design there reactor for a major earthquake the US has reactors that are in earthquake areas and made it to withstand the worst possible earthquake that can happen in the area that the reactor is at and no its stupid to put it underground in a desert like the US.

Stupid statement brother, no matter if you follow the book mistakes happens, and no where in the book it says "don't place a nuclear power plant in a zone where earthquakes happens" of course anyone could count that out with more than a walnut for brain. But i guess its a Japanese thing. So they followed the book, and a MELTDOWN is here!!!
In Sweden we do it our way, we dig the nuclear waste down in a old mine, hoping no one will open it for 100.000 years.
Now that is stupid.
