The war crime and the criminal. 36 year ago today many of our national intellectual icons were brutally murdered in an attempt to intellectually cripple the new country Bangladesh. Our victory celebrations after 16th December were being overshadowed by grim discoveries of one after another killing field. Most destabilizing discovery was that of Rayer Bazaar. All of our national top doctors, professors, linguists, scientists were among the eviscerated dead bodies found here. These killing operation was conducted by Al Badr, a newly formed paramilitary wing of Jamaat-i-Islami and was headed by the then All Pakistan Islami Chhatra Shangha president Motiur Rahman Nizami.
Bangladesh flag flies from Mr. Nizami's car for last five years.

We need to bring this criminal to justice.

  • fuck all these indian agents, they are bloody liars and are on india's pay roll.

  • Well looks the trial will be an international affair. Since they want to try Paki war criminals as well. Lets await the outcome. Very frankly, the genocide of 1971 needs probing and punishment. The brutal murder of 3 million people cannot just go unpunished. So lets keep our fingers crossed.

  • bhosriwala, tor make chude pakistanira toke bar koreche, tor asol baper sombondhe bolte pod phete jacche. khankir chele tor maa ekhon jardarir nunu chusche. very good.

  • make sense but the way it is accusing jamat top leaders without any freakin evidence, that doesn't make sense at all....looks like it's just a weapon of awomee freakin league to come in power..what a loser

  • Support and protest is absolutely legitimate, democratic and civil.

But murder in the name of protest is a crime. And by definition crime needs to be answered by justice.

    Makes sense?

  • allright...let me tell u somthing..suppose u r a resident of sylhet. Now if in any reason sylhet is deprived in anything by bangladesh government then the way people of sylhet can protest against the government, similarly if u want, u can support bangladesh government and oppose the fact of dividing country no matter how much u and your district is being deprived just because sylhet is still a part of the country...

  • Now we are talking some logic. There is adequate documentary proof in the form of old newspaper cuttings, some surviving pictures and witnesses that prove beyond doubt that top leaders of Jamat opposed liberation and actually aided the Pakistani Army. Including actively forming units like the Al Badr, Al Shams and other Razakar organisations which actively participated in killing pro-liberation bengalis. So is that praise worthy or condemnable? And if it is condemnable shouldn't they be tried?

  • u think whoever talks for jamat is a jamat supporter?....if jamat do anything good then we should praise them and if they do anything bad then criticize them...there is nothing to be a jamat or aleage supporter

  • keno bhoi korche?? phashi te chodar practice koro jamat bhai..:)

    ha ha ha ha..
