  • I heard him play this at Carnegie Hall. This is how he played it. Amazing and unique.

  • "BRAAAAAVVVVOO!!!!" XD

  • @Hypnotoad27 lol!

  • ROGER RABBIT!!! :D :D :D

  • Stunning, Why have I only just heard of him through his obituary?

  • No, the Tom & Jerry episode was released 40 years earlier, in 1947. The pianist heard in the cartoon is probably either Shura Cherkassky or Jacob Gimpel. They were friends and competitors. Gimpel's son has launched a theory saying that Cherkassky, having been denied by Warner Bros to play the sound track for Bugs&Bunny, actually may have stolen the whole film idea and induced MGM to make a similar cartoon (Tom&Jerry) so he could play the sound track for them instead. True or false? Who knows.

  • Was he the pianist for the tom&jerry episode?

  • Bravo, viejo maestro Wild.Te admira y te considera como uno de los más grandes pianistas desde Liszt,tu amigo Jorge.

  • I've been lookin 4 this damn concerto forever, i was lookin thru the tom&jerry episodes jus so i could hear it(LOL)

  • Very capriccious.
