  • @GOODWOOD8802 are u blind why you called that a Kia Cee'd copy just look at the front grille and taillights everything

  • Now, why so few chinese haters comment about this video? They simply can not accept the fact, that chinese manufacturer has made a progress. Now they turn to another point and cry out: Stop copying, bla bla bla. Keep walking, chinese car industry. One day, those western losers will be silent.

  • @GOODWOOD8802 if that's so, you should really take a look at mazda 3 hatchback, opel astra, chevrolet optra, they all look similar ! A similar design does't means copy.

  • OPEL CORSA

  • @GOODWOOD8802

Cee'd my ass, the prototype of this hatch back has expose to public long before Cee'd announce.

  • whats is the name of this music?

  • This is a 40 mpg car.

  • Oh yeah, and I found another car that's rather similar: the Chevrolet Lacetti. The truth is, car designs nowadays are rarely original. You'll definitively see a parts of a car in another.

So, as long as they are not actual counterfeits trying to pass as a legitimate BMW or Benz, it shouldn't make a difference. The buyer knows it's not the real thing; they are not deceiving anyone.

  • Yes, they are suing but they aren't winning anywhere. In China, it's a given that they won't win. But even in Europe (see the cases against Shanghuan Noble and SCEO) they are not winning.

Because honestly, car designs are subjective. What might look similar to you might not be similar to someone else. As long as you don't slap a BMW badge on your Shanghuan it should be fine.

  • That's exactly the point, a lot of these small Chinese automakers have less than a decade of history. It took the Japanese 40 years or so to become serious players in the auto industry. As for Hyundai-Kia, before the Genesis they mainly competed in price, not quality. That's 30 years.

Brilliance has less than 10 years history, and this car looks decent, and if it has decent quality and safety it will far surpass what the Japanese and the Korean accomplished in 10 years.
