@silly8oi No, the regular power filters work fine, although I prefer the AquaClear power filters. Also note that the power filters are no necessarily made for fresh or salt water tanks, they are intended for either one.
@silly8oi It depends on the type of tank you are giong to set up. The sump is more so to hide equipment than anything else. It also gives you additional water volume. If the tank is not going to be a reef (corals), than the hang in the back filters or power filters work great.
How come you don't use the sump or anything? You Just use a regular filter like fresh water . I thought you need to have a sump for saltwater aquarium.
