Tea Party gives Boehner a budget headache

Since coming to Washington, the 'Young Guns' of the Tea Party have caused nothing but havoc.

House Speaker John Boehner has told Republicans to 'get their asses in line' behind his budget proposal. But some in the Tea Party remain insolent.

The Tea Party's refusal to cooperate means Congress could miss its best chance of reaching a budget ceiling compromise by the August 2 deadline.

Fears the US may miss the deadline have already spooked financial markets, prompting a global equities sell-off and higher interest rates on US bonds.

Doubts about where interest rates are heading have frozen activity in the credit markets.

Long-term, higher borrowing costs for the government and consumers could wreck the American economy.

Even if John Boehner can win support from a few 'Young Guns', he must still deal with opposition from the Democrats in the Senate.

Isn't the political immaturity of the 'Young Guns' just setting up the Democrats nicely for 2012?

@thegunclub123 Exactly, well said. To me to say that I'm 100% democrat Or 100% republican just shows that many lack any integrity and can not think for themselves. Hear the facts and develop your own conclusions, as opposed to being led around like sheep by a bunch of agenda ridden profiteers. If people lack the brain power to develop their own opinions then I fear the country is doomed. Our founding fathers would be in shame if the knew of the political backdooring that goes on.

@Salaisor Yes lets take the guns away from the people who own them legally and let the unregistered criminals keep them. Look at the stats of crimes committed by those who own guns legally as opposed to those who own them illegally. I'm not a tea party member, and I do agree that both sides have many valid points and many stupid ideas. But honestly what has Obama done that you think is so great and why are you so willing to stick up for him?

@thegunclub123 So shooting someone is not violent now? Bullets can't tell the difference between morality. Nor can flesh. Shooting is shooting. Don't tell yourself anything else.

How about buying weapons at the local Wal-Mart and then shooting up a school, paralyzing and killing people. There is no reason for such a free gun market. The constitution was created in a very unstable and violent world where it was needed. The world is violent today too sure but we got cops now.

I know violence begets violence, in my scenario, violence was only going one way. The hoodlums with knives were the purveyors of violence. The man who shot them dead did not do so violently. It was not violence, but righteousness.
