  • Hey Sky! where did you get that dummy from I have a small place and that dummy will fit nicely because it's compact

  • @mysticalteacher

Hi I actually purchase the wooden dummy from a local sports equipment dealer (singapore). The metal base is actually custom-made which holds the entire weight of the dummy to prevent falling off when you train on it. There is another type of base which require you to drill holes to your floor to secure the base using screws.

  • when you turn your horse. turn with your heal along with your body.....and bend your knee down a bit more.

  • @mysticalteacher Thanks for your reply

  • From one Moy Yat family practiioner to another.... your form looks like you have great potential, but please get into the habit of tucking that thumb into your palm. That can be a real bad habit (your thumb being out) that could get you extremely hurt one day. Good job, and good luck.

  • Hi Sky, you got real potential and your passion will be your source to be better everytime you practice. watched some of your videos, i do not know much of Wing Chun - but I was a martial artist since 7yo...my dad was a blackbelt. I become a blackbelt in my teen in karate, and aikido.

note of improvement is you need to be more fluid and relaxed. You should be able to breath smoothly when you doing your techniques. I suggest you try to do a set of move within a breath. - i can share with more..

  • Hi Sky Tay,

well, your demonstration is a bit different from the form I learned.

I think you put the Bong Sao on the false arm of your wooden dummy. And you should hold your other hand which you don't use for direct techniques in Wu Sao.

But I think you're really talented.

Best regards from Berlin / Germany,
