In reality, it's not Taiwan that "claims" Taiwan to be the origin. It's one of the researches done outside of Taiwan. Learn your facts. Also, in fact that most Taiwanese don't know about this, which I think Taiwanese should know more about.

Most Taiwanese in Taiwan don't like to be called Chinese.
Also, most people in Taiwan are mixed.
