  • You are an idiot, yeah right have a look at perins face after the game, he was disapointed.. West Adelaide WON IT BY THEMSELVES. The only SA team to ever finish top!!

  • The word is that West Adelaide and Adelaide City had a 'gentleman's agreement' for the match to end level and therefore Hellas to win the title (just watch the Adelaide City defenders give the equalising goal away if you don't believe it).

If you give a few drinks to any player involved in the game you may hear the story :)

Unfortunately WAH did not win the Championship on their own merits.

  • where was that played

  • Great memories. Nkpoets, you are well wide of the mark. The Hellas-Juventus rivalry in Adelaide dated back to the 1950s and was as strong as ever when this game was played. And how did Johnny Perin's thunderbolt support your alleged script?

  • Awesome Footage..

  • HELLASS!!!!

  • RIP Martyn Crook, West Adelaide's goalkeeping genius.

  • Graham Honeyman was one of the West Adelaide Greats an absolute legend. A true gentleman and a pleasure to have known him. Remind him that 2008 is the 30th anniversary of this game. 30 yrs later and West Adelaide is Back as a club. Cheers from a mate Andy Haralampopoulos

  • Anyone got footage of my dad, Graham Honeyman, scoring a few goals from late 70's mid 80's? Cheers, David :)
