Section 8 Beta Gameplay PC - My thoughts

This video was requested by a number of people, so here you go. It is my thoughts on Section 8 Beta.

This was played on PC and is the Beta. All graphics are on MAX but the quality is bad, sorry guys :(

The game is basically this sci-fi futurstic fps. It's not a run and gun game. You have to spawn in a smart area and you have to think your tactics through. You can customize loadouts with two primary items of your choice, two sub items, and skill points to your character. If you have a tool pack for a sub item, you can heal yourself, teammates, and broken machines from your team. The game features a shield and health. From far away, the shield must be taken down on an enemy to reach the health, but up close combat, the shield won't matter, only the health goes down. The sprinting is slow at first, but after a certain time of sprinting, then you go in third person view, and zoom your way through the battlefield. The more machines you destroy, the objectives you do, and more points you get, you earn in game money. This can be used to purchase a robot, or some other machine on the spot for your use. The game also features a flight ability where you hold the jump button to open your jetpack for a short while. The game runs in the Unreal Engine.

This game is rated "T" for teen, so only watch the video if you are 13 or older. If you are a minor, please do not watch this. And for anyone out there, please remember, this is just a game. Do not be influenced to become violent in reality due to game violence. I personally am NOT influenced by video game violence but I have seen some people who are (TV, Internet) and I want that to stop. You have to remember, at the end of the day, it's just a game, and violence in reality/society, will only cause you consequences and/or trouble. So please....just remember this is only a game, and it's not reality...This being said, don't be influenced to be violent from a game.....it's not smart.



MY THOUGHTS:

This game is....medicore. I'll admit, it is no first day get. The game has some okay graphics but won't exactly wow you so don't expect much in visuals. The sounds are solid with the voices and spawning sound. Sprinting is done fantastically and spawning just rocks. The lock on system is quite useful and it is balanced to how much you can use it. I also think the items need a better balance. At the same time, don't expect to feel powerful in the game. In other words, it's not intense, so if your looking for an intense game, this isn't it. This is an okay tactical game though as there are some tactics you must do in order to reach an objective. But if anything, this game is a Battlefield 2142 reskinned with a few new or different features. In my opinion, it's actually a watered down version of Battlefield 2142, as far as I played in the beta. If you own a PS3, DO NOT WORRY IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING THIS GAME!! Really, it's overhyped and you ps3 owners aren't missing out on much....that's just my opinion of course though.

lol, i only played the beta. After I finished playing with the beta, I wasn't convinced enough to buy the full game. It didn't seem worth it to me. You will get your money's worth if you rent it or if you truly like section 8 a lot lot.

are there bots in this game like CS? and is the quality really that bad or is it just the video?I just need some details before i download it. I have seen the xbox360 version of my friend's and it looked cool. thanks to anyone who replies

it's definately better on PC. This kind of fps is one with strategy and the graphics look better. I recommend PC version if you can get it ;)

@vytautas485 I say the machine gun because the damage goes strait to the health and the assault rifle only does that at close range.

hmmmmm....never played that game before, is it good? IMO, i don't like Section 8 very much :/
